Medical Assistant/Scribe


This hybrid role combines traditional Medical Assistant responsibilities with AI-assisted scribing duties. You will assist physicians with direct patient care and facilitate accurate electronic documentation after the visit by reviewing and editing AI-generated medical notes. Unlike traditional in-room scribing, you will not need to be present during the patient encounter, but will instead finalize clinical documentation based on AI audio recordings and transcripts provided post-visit.

Medical Assistant Duties:
  • Greet and room patients, obtain vital signs and medical history, and update EMRs accordingly.
  • Document current medications and allergies accurately.
  • General understanding of medical terms and conditions.
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist with in-office procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety, including managing hazardous waste.
  • Support the front desk as needed: check-in/out, phone calls, and scheduling.

Scribe Duties:
  • Review and edit medical notes generated by AI from audio recordings of provider-patient encounters.
  • Accurately document history, exam findings, assessment, and plan into the EMR (eClinicalWorks preferred).
  • Enter labs, imaging, and prescription orders as directed by the provider.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and finalized in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma required; Associate degree or higher preferred. Medical Assistant certification required.

Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year in a medical office setting.
  • Familiarity with EMRs (eClinicalWorks a plus); must type 45+ WPM.
  • Strong medical terminology and clinical documentation skills are preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of ENT, surgical, or facial plastics practices preferred.

Schedule:
  • Full-time (Monday to Friday)
  • 8-hour shifts
  • No evenings or weekends
