The Allergy Medical Assistant at Otolaryngology Associates, PC is a key player in ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience. This role involves providing excellent communication and customer service while managing various administrative tasks. The Medical Assistant will handle patient interactions, schedule appointments, perform allergy testing, administer allergy

Patient Interaction & Communication:
- Provide a warm and welcoming first impression for patients arriving at the clinic, to start immunotherapy.
- Must be comfortable performing immunotherapy on patients, starting at age 5 and up.
- Regularly check and respond to patient emails throughout the day.
- Answer phone calls regarding immunotherapy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
- Scheduling appointments, handling insurance paperwork and assisting with billing procedures.
Job Description:
- Explaining allergy testing procedures, treatment plans, and how to manage allergy symptoms and reactions, including proper use of Epipen.
- Perform allergy test (skin test).
- Sending lab orders for allergy tests.
- Administer Allergy shots and other immunotherapy injections.
- Perform PFT
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including test results, treatment plans, and billing information.
- Ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness of the testing equipment.
- Keeping work and patient areas clean.
- Maintaining and organizing inventory of allergy supplies.
- Monitoring patients for adverse reactions to testing or treatment and providing appropriate care.
- Emergency or non-emergency care.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Medial Assistant Certification (preferred)
- Prior experience in a medical office setting (preferred)
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity ECW and ModMed (preferred)
